YouTube makes videos more accessible with new audio features
YouTube just announced several new audio features, some take effect immediately, while others will be rolled out in the coming months. Creators will have the option to enable live auto-captions for their English live streams.
There are plans to expand these live auto-captions to all 13 supported languages in the next few months. Other features that are in the works include:
YouTube is among several platforms that are working to create more features to improve accessibility to their users. For example, TikTok added auto captions and Instagram added captions for stories earlier this year.
