    Paramount+ streaming expansion

Paramount+ will now include access to Showtime programming this summer. The two services were offered as a discounted bundle deal, but will now be integrated together. Its parent company ViacomCBS has also changed its name to Paramount as it looks to embrace streaming and global expansion.  They have committed to increasing their investment into streaming content from $2.2 billion in 2021 to $6 billion by 2024 — higher than previous forecasts. In an effort to gain a global audience, they’ll be including 50 new original international scripts in 2022. Their end goal is to have 100 million global subscribers by the end of 2024.

Similar with its competitors, Paramount will also move all new Paramount Pictures movies in the U.S to their platform starting in 2024. Along with their original streaming content, Paramount is also looking to expand its popular movie franchises such as A Quiet Place, Star Trek and even Transformers.
